Growing in select areas of the deep dark forest are blood red glowing crystals. Usually seen when there is a cave nearby. These crystals emit a soft glow and a certain energy that makes a normal abyssal uneasy. Most Abyssals have no use for them other than decoration, a Noctivorus however sees them as found treasure. Noctivorus are hoarders in a sense, shiny objects and trinkets often fill caves, but their most beloved item to collect are these crystals. They radiate warmth when heated up and can disperse the heat for a long period of time, making it the perfect material to fill nests and lairs with during colder seasons in the Abyss.

Some Noctivorus, however, have found a passion in making beaded strings to adorn their bodies and surroundings with. The never fading glow can only be retained within these small beads when processed correctly. A very delicate craft that requires a Noctivorus to know where to strike and carve a crystal to achieve the perfect shape. Few Noctivorus that have perfected this craft are called Marrowyns. These beads, from far away and stringed among the trees, often look like dozens of eyes staring back at you from the deep thicket of the dark forest. These experts also know the properties of these crystals when they are prepared correctly, when in contact with blood and open wounds it has a strong clotting and pain-relief effect making wound healing much faster than nature intended. Noctivorus often carry these crystals or accessorise with these beads for this exact purpose. A personal medkit.
