Time moves on, and I remain. From my place above, I watch the realm I once ruled, sending peace to those who walk the paths I knew. But my own heart is never still, for it is filled with a single, constant want.
I yearn for the sound of your song greeting the dawn. I ache to feel your hand fit perfectly against mine. I long to run my fingers through your soft hair when the night grows quiet. In the rush of this world, my only wish is to find you again.
And I am not the only one who yearns. I have learned that your heart calls for me, too. Your messages find me on the wings of purple butterflies, each one a delicate whisper of your love. And I send my own thoughts back to you, carried by butterflies of shining gold, so you will know I am always waiting
